About OrthoKneeBrace

Knee care guidance that treats you like a patient, not a shopping cart

OrthoKneeBrace exists because choosing orthopedic support is confusing at exactly the moment you are hurt, worried, and flooded with conflicting advice. We pair clinician-reviewed education with honest product matching, so the brace that arrives at your door is the one your knee actually needs.

Our story

Started by fitters who were tired of seeing the wrong braces sold

Our founding team spent years in orthopedic supply, watching two patterns repeat. Patients with serious instability were buying thin sleeves that could not protect them. And patients with simple overuse pain were sold rigid, expensive hinged braces they did not need. Both groups lost: one to re-injury, the other to wasted money and abandoned braces in closets.

So we built the resource we wished existed: condition education a patient can actually understand, written and reviewed by clinicians, connected to a matching process that recommends less when less is right.

Today our content is reviewed by a board spanning orthopedic surgery, sports medicine, physical therapy, orthotics, and athletic training, and our fit specialists guide thousands of patients each year, alongside more than 120 partner clinics nationwide.

Our principles

How we decide what to recommend

Evidence over inventory

Recommendations follow published clinical guidance and our medical board's review, never stock levels. When the evidence says a 20 dollar strap, we say a 20 dollar strap.

Clinicians check our work

Every condition guide carries the name of the clinician who reviewed it and the date. Guides are re-reviewed on a rolling schedule. Read our editorial policy.

Accessible by design

Our patients are often in pain, recovering from surgery, or living with disability. The site is built for keyboards, screen readers, large tap targets, and reduced motion.

How we make money, plainly

We sell knee braces and supply partner clinics. That is the whole model. We do not run ads, sell your data, or take placement fees from manufacturers. Because our revenue comes from braces that fit and get worn, our incentive is a correct match, which is why the fit guarantee and the free consultation exist.
