The right knee brace, matched to your injury, not guesswork
Knee pain is hard enough without decoding medical catalogs. Tell us where it hurts and how it started, and we will match you to the clinical support level your knee actually needs, with a free fit consultation included.
What is going on with your knee?
Each guide explains the injury in plain language: what it feels like, how long recovery takes, when to see a doctor, and which level of bracing the evidence supports.

A pop, swelling, and a knee you no longer trust. What tears the ACL, and how bracing supports every stage from injury to return to sport.

Tell us about your knee
Answer five questions about your pain, how it started, and what you want to get back to. It takes about a minute, no account needed.
Get a clinical match
Our matching logic follows the same decision points orthopedic clinicians use: stability, load, and tissue healing stage. You see exactly why a brace was recommended.
Heal with a specialist on call
A bracing specialist confirms sizing before anything ships, and stays available through your recovery. If the fit is not right, we exchange it free for 30 days.
Every level of support, explained honestly
More brace is not always better. We will tell you when a 20 dollar strap outperforms a 200 dollar hinge, because the right call earns your trust.

Point to where it hurts. We will explain what is likely going on.
Pain location is the single most useful clue your knee gives you. Inner-side pain points to very different problems than pain behind the kneecap. Our interactive pain locator maps each region of the knee to its most common causes, what each one feels like, and which guide to read next.

People who got their lives back
Tore my MCL skiing in February. The Brace Finder pointed me to a hinged brace and a specialist called to double-check my measurements before shipping. I was back on groomers by the last weekend of the season.
I have bone-on-bone arthritis in my right knee and was told to wait for a replacement. The sleeve they matched me with lets me do my morning walks again. The sizing help over the phone made all the difference.
As a PT, I send patients here because the education is honest. They talked one of my marathoners out of an expensive hinged brace and into a simple patellar strap, which was exactly right.

Knee bracing, answered plainly
Do I need a prescription to get a knee brace?
No prescription is needed for the off-the-shelf braces we guide you toward. They are FDA-registered Class I devices available over the counter. If you want insurance to cover a brace, your insurer will usually require a prescription and a diagnosis code from your clinician. Our insurance and HSA/FSA guide explains the process.
How do I know which knee brace is right for me?
Start with what your knee is telling you: where it hurts, how it started, and whether it feels unstable. Our free Brace Finder walks through those questions in about a minute and matches you with the support level clinicians typically recommend for your situation. You can also browse by condition or brace type.
Will a knee brace weaken my leg muscles?
Used appropriately, no. Research has not shown meaningful muscle loss from wearing a brace during activity. Problems only arise when a brace substitutes for rehabilitation entirely. We always recommend pairing bracing with the kind of strengthening covered in our exercise guide, ideally under the direction of your clinician or physical therapist.
Can I use my HSA or FSA card?
Yes. Knee braces are qualified medical expenses under IRS rules, so HSA and FSA funds can be used without a letter of medical necessity in most plans. See our HSA, FSA and insurance guide for details and documentation tips.
What if the brace does not fit?
Every recommendation comes with a free fit consultation, and fit issues are exactly what our specialists solve. Measure with our sizing guide, and if a brace still does not fit correctly we will exchange sizes promptly under our 30-day fit guarantee.
Do you work with doctors and clinics?
Yes. We supply orthopedic practices, physical therapy clinics, athletic programs, and workplace health teams with wholesale pricing, dispensing support, and HCPCS coding references. Visit our clinician program page to start a conversation.
